Republic Day Celebration
SDCT unlike every year celebrated Republic Day on 26th of Jan,22 in KGBV Campus. A literacy competition was also held where the students were asked to write about a brief about the Indian history. The Students actively took part in the competition and they came up with various motivating write-ups upon the Indian history. The most efficient write-up was awarded by the Chairman of SDCT.
Art and Craft Class
Various Art & Craft class were conducted for the students of KGBV where the girls were taught to make bags from jute and weaving plastic rope, various decoration items, DIY’s etc. The students were very pleased to learn all those art and crafts and appreciated the session.
International Women Day celebration
On the occasion of International Women Day SDCT organized a seminar where all the female teachers and staffs of KGBV and SDCT were felicitated by the organization. The teachers gave speech on various topics like Women Empowerment, their contribution to the society, gender equality, etc.
Independence Day Celebration
With the whole nation, SDCT celebrated Independence Day with the students of KGBV. The program started with the flag hosting by the Chairperson. The celebration continues with parade (march-past) done by the students of KGBV. Various sports activity and cultural programs were also conducted during the celebrations.
Children Day Celebration
Unlike every year, this year also we had celebrated Children’s Day in KGBV. A rural camp visit was organized in which the students actively took part in it and made the visit a successful one.
Teachers Day Celebration
On Teacher’s Day, various program was organized where all the students took part.
Farewell Celebrations
A farewell program was conducted for the students of class X who had completed their education in KGBV and would join some other institutions for higher studies. Every year this farewell program was conducted for thanksgiving to the students for being a part of KGBV and the contributions they made
SPORTS
Since its inception, the organization has been emphasizing more on the indigenous games and sports. The organization has organized an Annual Sports meet on 1st March,21. The various activities of sports, Cultural and Literacy competition where the main events of School week with an objective to promote the indigenous games & Sports and Cultural too aware the new generation of such customary events.
Football and Kho-kho Competition
Subhrotho Mukherjee State level football and kho-kho competition under was organized where the students from our school also took part and won the prizes in the state level.
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS CAMP
SDCT unlike each year, this year also they had come forward to create awareness on Importance of forest and natural surroundings and is actively working for the cause. Eventually, it initiated an afforestation program in the remote Logoni Village, which is being continued every year, encouraging and motivating the rural people to fight deforestation and preserve the flora & fauna. The villagers of nearby areas are made aware of the high risks of natural disasters and Global Warming caused from deforestation. An awareness campaign was organized on 25th September 2021 on the day of Environment Day at Lochung Village, East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. Around 50 people of the area participated in the campaign.
