GENESIS OF SEI-DONYI CHARITABLE TRUST
Through various Government programmes and schemes introduced throughout the country for socio-economic development by eradicating poverty, illiteracy and awareness campaigns, made sufficient difference in the development of the country. In-depth studies highlighted the limitations of the development programmes and emphasized that for a long term and sustained impact of the development. Interventions should aim at building the local institutions well versed in it.
In recent past, a number of voluntary organizations rendered its activities to meet the needs of the poor communities across the country. The large demand of necessities for the development and advancement of the socio-economic and up keeping of the cultural heritages amidst geographical diversities has led to the emergence of a multiple community based voluntary organization with dignified accomplishment to consolidate the efforts for development of the Society and the state as well. By supporting collective learning and team work, not only would the diverse development strategies will be strengthened but also the quality of services provided to the society would improve.
Registered in December 2001, SDCT initially started function right from the beginning of the Millennium in the year 2000 with a new vision and mission for the society. It is purely a voluntary, non-governmental and non-political organization, which in Imparting and extending educational and various welfare activities for mankind. To serve the oppressed humanity, irrespective of caste, creed and community, stands the mission of organization.
OBJECTIVES
Based upon its mission Sei-Donyi Charitable Trust working broadly towards the following objectives:
■ To extend social and welfare activities amongst the people of area in general To extend socio-economic activities in the area for the betterment of the community as a whole.
▪ To undertake activities in the field of education, health and hygiene, to spread awareness of appropriate sanitation and diffusion of useful knowledge.
To undertake activities in the field of horticulture, agriculture, environment etc.
To campaign for awareness in environment and educate them about the effect of the environment.
▪ To provide facilities of Health, Hygiene and Sanitation to the poor.
▪ To implement programme on animal welfare.
▪ To undertake activities of Games and Sports.
OPERATIONAL STRATEGIES
Advocacy support on development related issues. Institutionalized social welfare and support activities.
■ Campaigning on development related issues.
Awareness generation through training, workshops, seminar and advocacy. Vocational training and production support.
Rehabilitation services to orphanage and destitute women, irrespective of religion, caste, creed and community stands.
Host proactive innovation ideas for socio-economic and environmental development.

MANAGEMENT
The Sel-Donyi Charitable Trust is governed by 7 (seven) Members Board of Management. The Board is broadly concerned with all policy matters of the organization and its mode of operand us.
